how to use the login tool to repair client issues

in this tutorial we will explain how to use the new settings option added to your client

there are several new additions to your login tool that will be highlighted here as well

before you get started you may need to disable your antivirus to allow the client to connect to the server instructions to do this should be included with your antivirus program. this may not be necessary but if you have problems getting the client maintenance utility to work, this is a likely the cause

To begin click the settings tab in your login tool as demonstrated here:

as you will see here you have many options to choose from : you can analyze your client use several configuration utilities and even change your login screen and wallpaper also you have the option to start the client in safe version which I will explain later

in most cases you would start by finding out what the problem is. you do this by clicking analyze client

now it will test to make sure all of your client configurations are correct it will now tell you which parts of your client have errors you can use the configuration utility associated with each of these to repair the issue

as you can see there are several parts of the client that are analyzed here

Autopatch config(uration)
autopatch socket
Oem config(uration)
Itemtype Config(uration)
Shop config(uration)
Armor config(uration)
3D texture
and 3D object(s)

as you can see the current example has a problem with the
itemtype configuration (example A)
so we will use the
Client configuration tool to attempt to repair this
(example B)

all of these configuration utilities work in the same way just click the utility and allow it to connect. everything else it will do automatically..

you still cant resolve your problem you can load the client in “Safe Version”… this will re-install all patches to a basic working configuration

You do this by selecting the Set option(exampleA below) under the Safe Version sub-menu
and returning to the main menu to login…(example B below)

last but not least I will point out the new login screen options to choose from (example A)
and the D-O walpaper options (example B)
both with several fun selections to choos from
you can do this by clicking the login screen variation that you like or the choice for wallpaper you like then clicking ok you can now load your client by pressing play….. you will find that every time you log in you will see this new choice for a login screen
