One of the things I want to look into is increasing the output of the Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 router. I think I’m getting pretty OK coverage but I want to boost it some to get better signal strength and throughput. Where do I do that in the DD-WRT interface? TIA.
I recently tried setting up a Buffalo WHR-G54s router on my desktop (which has Windows XP on it) so that I can access the internet with my laptop as well. I have no problems accessing the internet on my desktop after connecting everything, but I can’t access the configuration page to set a password and change the SSID.

You don’t need to by another access point. In my case, my linksys works fine as Accesspoint with the Buffalo AirStation WHR-G54CC as Bridge. Just remember: do not swich on WPA2 encryption on your buffalo router in section wireless/security (but the access point can be in WPA2 mode, however).
